I paired the LBD with another classic, the slick pony. From there on, I had all the essential basics and my options were limitless.
A versatile little black dress is the classic and iconic staple piece every woman should own. The key to finding the perfect dress is looking for a form fitting dress that still looks classy. The knee-length of this little number brings an elegant touch to a sexy silhouette shape. The perfect dress should make a woman feel confident. Finding the right way to accessorize the dress will allow it to be worn for almost any occasion.
I paired the LBD with another classic, the slick pony. From there on, I had all the essential basics and my options were limitless.
For the day look, a brown leather jacket, knit circle scarf, matching sunnies, and a black boots were thrown together as a nice outfit that can be worn all day.
For the night look, I ditched the scarf in place of a statement necklace, took off the jacket to expose the sexy body-con shape, threw on a Michael Kors cross-body bag for some color, and replaced the booties with a clean, classic, mary-jane pump.
I know what you're thinking, a white winter in Southern California?! But a very rare flurry rushed through parts of Southern California the day before shooting this all-white-outfit trend..I was a cold shooting, to say the least.
A funny coincidence is that this post is being typed while in Utah, where it's 30 degrees out and the snow sits a fluffy four feet high. At least I look warm in the photos though, HA!
I love the bright all-white trend for spring. It's so refreshing and gives a nice minimalist feel. With the black scarf and printed skirt, it makes the look softer while still being on point with the trend.

Things To Work On In 2015
Resolutions are things you want to 'resolve' in your life: something you want to make a determined decision about.
Here's my list of what I have been trying to do, lately, to better myself, and what I want to consciously continue to do (even better) this next year.
Maybe these can help to spark and inspire your own list.
1. Know My Worth
For men, this is when you learn to stand up for yourself and become a man. For women, this is when we get called a 'bitch' and a 'complainer'. *Feminist Rant* Truth is, knowing your worth means to stand up for yourself when you believe you're not being treated fairly, to not let people take advantage of you, and to not let others 'walk all over you'/ 'push you around.' Be assertive, but not rude. I have to work on speaking up and not being a pushover, without the fear of people thinking I'm a 'bitch'. It's hard to find the happy medium.
2. Don't Surpress My Adventurous Nature
I live in Southern Orange County, people/I are/am 'always busy', and I can't put myself in positions where I can get hurt (due to working in an industry revolved around looks.) So, I tend to not go on adventures as much as I would like. My goal is to adventure (whether for a day, a vacation, or camping) at least once a month. I decided later in 2015, I am going to climb the tallest mountain in the US. I want to make more commitments like this or even spontaneous trips. Let the travels begin. (Oh, and if I can get paid to travel...well, what more could a girl ask for?)
3. Help Those Who Can't Help Themselves
We don't choose what life we are born into, but we can choose what we do with that life. Where I was born, the race I am, and the life I was given, have given me privilege that I may or may not deserve. Who is to make that call? The least I can do is to volunteer my time/efforts to charity work AT LEAST once a month. I do, already, make an effort to help, but we all know everyone can always do better.
5. Be Career Driven
I believe what someone does becomes to define who that person is. Careers are what most people spend the majority of their life working on. I want to focus on career goals (including educational goals) **Exempting when I become a supermodel and live a life of luxury and traveling** I want to focus most of my attention to the goals that will later set the path for the entirety of my life.
4. Be True To Who I Am
This may seem similar to 'know my worth' because they both focus on self-realization. We shouldn't seek to be liked, but instead, seek what we like. A lot of times it's hard for me to not be shy when when the industry I work in is based around judging. The more vocal, the more things to criticize. Also, it's hard to make personal life-decisions in fear of being judged by family and peers. I never thought I was the type of person to care what other people think, but when it comes to booking jobs (aka going to multiple 'job interviews' a day) I want to be able to be likable in the short time I get at castings. When it comes to family and peers, I want their full support in whatever I do, meaning I have to satisfy their expectations. I've made the decision to bring more focus into what I want to do and where I want to go in life, not what others are expecting of me. So, 2015, get ready for the real Mk ;) *oweeeoweee
6. Research Healthy And Natural Ways Of Living
The public has been lied to for so long about what is good for them and what is bad. I want to know for myself to feel more pure from the inside out. I didn't think I cared at first -going with the mentality 'we're all dying soon anyways'- however, what I've learned so far has made me interested to know more. I want to spend time learning for myself about health regarding food and medicine and how it plays a role in my body personally to how it plays a role to our society. Shit gets real intense...and I want to know more. I will definitely be starting a segment on my findings to share with you guys. I'm really excited to research and learn on a topic that literally has an effect on everyone.
Thank you to everyone who was part of my life in 2014. It truly was my most life-changing year. I've made some great friends, worked with some amazingly talented people, and learned so much about life and myself.

New Year's Inspired:
Spot the difference...go! Hint: bottoms, shoes, fur. That's it. Technically there is a total of 4 different looks with just a couple staple pieces. The first is spunky, sexy, and fashionable. The printed pants are bold and daring, a must attitude to conquer the new year as the most fashionable feline in the game. The second set (without the fur, is more sleek, sexy, and spicy. By adding the fur and opting for the booties, the look becomes a little more fun, without loosing the sass. This look demands attention and is a definite eye catcher. A bold necklace paired with patterned/fur piece are all your outfit needs to attain that perfect simple, yet head-turning, look that will start your year with double-takes and compliments.

I would like to introduce you guys to one of my favorite one-stop-shops for jewelry.
If you're in need of last minute christmas gifts for those fashion savvy friends in your life, Serene Sky Boutique has got you covered!
Today, Dec. 15, is the last day to get your orders in for a Christmas delivery!
Here are my favorites/Christmas wish-list and how I would style these staple pieces!
Alrighty, so, this year the girls have decided to meet up for christmas and do a gift exchange. We set a price and agreed on no 'joke' gifts or gift cards, only things you yourself would want. Not exactly sure how it's going to work out, but I'll keep you guys updated..
How do you get a gift that every girl would want and love?! Makeup? Not when one friend is a make-up artist and brings an entire suitcase of make-up everywhere she goes (literally). All beauty products are hard, everyone has a different beauty regimen. Clothing? As if 'one size fits all' wasn't the biggest lie of all time. Same goes for shoes. At first, this simple idea became a gift-buying catastrophe.
I have put together a list of 10 gift ideas for your ladies gift exchange that will satisfy (almost) any group of ladies
(Hint hint to my girls: I'd be happy with anything from this list) *Wink Wink*
Urban Decay invited A Royal Riot to experience their ultra femme & fab Flagship grand opening!
This is Urban Decay's first ever stand-alone store!
See how girly and glam the opening was... and what was in the goody bag;)
Southern California's weather might not change season-to-season, but when it comes to morning-to-night, the weather can't make up its mind! Rains one day then the next day its clear skies and 90 degrees. Layers have become my BFF.
So, I found a new place to shoot! If you're a blogger, you understand how exciting it is to discover a new shooting location!
Trampoline workouts, disco lights, products from Six:02, drinks from Ritual Wellness, and the cutest local blogger babes, were all brought together by Amanda of FeastFashionFaves and Michelle of Bari Studios. The #FFFxBari event collaborated with the best of OC/LA bloggers to sweat test and review products from Six:02...with the help of the intense ultimate hybrid workout that evenly sculpts and tones all over. The event took place at Newport Beach's new Bari Studios.
The green largest area was the big pool all the hot spring water ended up in. The mountain side is made of small jacuzzi-like pools (descending from hottest to the least warm) that waterfall into one another. The water eventually drains into the bottom pool, which is why that one is not crystal clear like the rest.

On Saturday, October 18th, 22-year-old singer-songwriter, Lana Del Rey, performed on the Fairbanks Lawn at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for the second day in a row. The colorful outdoor concert consisted of hits from her most recent album, Ultraviolence, along with some of her classics, such as 'National Anthem'. It was my first time at the venue, and I must say, I was in awe.
A two minute compilation of Lana Del Rey's performance from that night
In the video, she mentions Californians will be seeing her around...hmm pop up concerts?! PLEASE!
(Warning: the sound is loud in the first clip of her talking for some reason--still learning)
Head Piece: Styles4Less
A chain headpiece is such a simple and easy way to instantly vamp up your look. A statement item and head turner, every single time.
I am a huge fan of this button up. It is a staple piece in my closet. The material is so soft and light, it pairs with all my summer looks. The long sleeve and button up components make it totally wearable during the cooler SoCal winters.
Bralette:Go Jane (Awkward-Click the Link, lol)
I've tried on this bralette so many times while shooting for GoJane and have been meaning to purchase it for a while now! I love the fit and the silky feel. Its a mix between a bralette and a crop top. A little revealing without being too risqué. The crisp white color is also perfect for this fall's neutral trend. This will definitely be going under my fall button ups.
Pleather Pleated Skirt: Zara
Since the skirt is knee length and pleated, it gives a more girly feel. The pleather is what really gives the outfit a fall/night vibe. Because of its shape, the skirt allows itself to be worn from day-to-night, season-to-season. Another staple piece.
Fringe Clutch: Styles4Less
I have never really been a fan a clutches, I'm known to put things down and forget them there/lose them. Purses go over my shoulder and are easier to keep track of. With that said, I am in love with this clutch. It is larger and has a handle that makes it so easy to hold. This bag has opened me up to exploring more clutches. They really complete a look in a sophisticated way. The fringe makes the look more fun and 'California-ey'. This fall's western-trend never left SoCal in the first place!
Shoes: Steve Madden
Steve Madden NEVER fails me. It is my favorite every-day brand for shoes. These tan sandals are just as great as I could imagine. They turn any of my outfits to a fresh daytime look.
The OC Night Market is held at the Orange County Fair grounds, one of the three locations the event happens at!
This traveling market begins in May in Orange county, then heads to Down Town Los Angeles in June, followed by the 626 from July-Sept, and finally, ending back up on the OC Fair Grounds October 10th-12th.
The market features "over 200 of Southern California's best food, merchandise, and talent."
Upon walking in, I was welcomed by rows of stores featuring anything from Stussy clothing to asian toy trinkets. There was a concert to the left and a hallway full of unique art to the right! On the other side of the hallway was a plethora of the most unique food venders I have ever seen. I felt as if I were in the heart of Hong Kong's street markets. I tried all types of food: unique and fairly normal. I must say everything was amazing!
Sunday is the last day this year! So hurry up and check it out! Full Event list and information: HERE!
White after labor day? YES! This season's trend is all about white. Keeps your style eyes peeled and you'll begin to see it everywhere! I am loving the lighter and brighter vibes in fashion this winter. If you're not too sure about wearing all white in fall, stick to white accessories!
White Pleather Backpack: Urban Outfitter's
Urban Outfitter's sold out of this exact bag; however, Claire's has a very similar (and just as cute) backpack that can be found here.
Letterman's Jacket: "Vintage"
'Aka, stolen from my dad's closet. Go through your parents/grandparents' closet sometimes, their time had rad fashion!
Cut-Out Turtle-Top:Brandy Melville
I love this top because it goes with everything and is seasonally universal! The back has the cutout detail and three buttons to easily put-on without messing up your hair and makeup: since that's the only issue with turtlenecks!
Textured Asymmetrical Skirt: Forever 21
This skirt is perfect for fall. Its texture of pleather trim and the tweed, in different shades of grey, welcomes the cooler seasons.
Grunge Gypsee Photo
to swarm the surrounding area. Climbing to the top of the island gave our group of friends the most amazing view of the sun setting over Catalina on one side, and the coast line on the other. This popular local snorkeling destination attracted my friends and I.
Here's a short GoPro video that doesn't even begin to depict the amazingness of it all.
(First time GoPro user, bear with me!)
If you are planning on visiting, I suggest parking on PCH and Wesley Drive. There is paid parking on the beach side, or meter parking on the inland side. Once to the paid parking structure on the beach side of PCH off Wesley, (facing the beach) make a right. Walk a little ways down until you reach the end (past Montage) of the path. The path turns into a ramp that leads you left, down to the sand, and straight to Goff Island.
Too Glam 2 Give a Damn
Oxblood, faux fur, track pants/menswear, and Miley buns = my kind of fall!
Textures are my favorite part of layering. The leather details, striped fur vest, and velvet textures, merge together just perfectly with the minimal jewelry and neutral shoes.
Fur: Foreign Exchange
I love the striped faux fur look because it is edgy, sophisticated, and fun. Similar one can be found at Revolve Clothing, or on sale at Chichwish.
Velvet Crop: Forever 21
The texture of velvet just gives a fall vibe..and this color is to die for! More colors at American Apparel.
Sold out at F21.
Track/Suit Pants: Forever 21
The leather details on these joggers just complete the entire look.
Shoes: Go Jane
The classic pointy shape to these heels, along with the neutral color, balance out the spunky textures of the outfit.
